Guest guest Posted November 1, 2006 Report Posted November 1, 2006 He all - I'm pretty new to this board but have been trying to read as much as I can. I must say that alot of this is over my head. I just had some labs done and had a question for you. I've been supplementing with 3 drops of iodine per day for several months and never had a loading test. My NP prescribed it to me and I started taking it before I joined this group. I just had a TSH test and it came back at 20 and I'm on 3 gr Armour. I vaguely remember some posts a while ago that mentioned Iodine might raise a TSH and I'm wondering if this could be part of the reason for my test results. My free T3 came back at 327 (range 217- 500) and they didn't test my Free T4. I'm having adrenal issues so it could be that the thyroid hormone is getting into my system but the first thing my NP said was that she may refer me to an endo (which she has never done with another patient) because she's worried it might be a pituitary issue. It was suggested to me that I get an ACTH Stim Test because of my test results but I'm not sure why. I'm thinking it's because of the adrenal tests that came back at Stage 7 Adrenal Fatigue and that's to check how my adrenals respond but I'm still getting info on that. Anyways, does anyone remember this being talked about or have any other ideas. Any input would be great. Thanks much Terry Quote
