Guest guest
Hi, Yes, digestion is compromised either way. I have not had a gallbladder for 10 years now and I spend probably 1/3 of my life since then in the bathroom with diarrhea. It is the annoying problem. I have resolved to thinking that most of my life will be spent in a bathroom. I eat and within a few minutes it starts and drags out for an hour or so. By the time I have spent any time out of the washroom it is time for another meal. Then to top it all off, the pain from the liver is still there. It feels like a gallbladder attack waiting to happen. I have had some severe pain where I am sure I have passed stones. A mixture of epsom salts and water has had relief. If I had a chance to make that decision again I would never had gone through with the surgery in the first place. The attacks were really not as bad as what I have been living with since then. I now use liver flushes and Master Cleanses which help immensely, but they are not a long term fix. They must be done regularly to get any long term relief. I still remember what the Dr. in the ER said when I had my first attack. " How old is that little one there? " I said " 6 weeks old. " He said, " Oh!, You are right on schedule! " " Most women have attacks about 6 weeks postnatal. " I was so shocked to hear this . I was mad that the regular Dr. did not mention this to me during the prior pregnancies. Maybe I would have really researched it and tried to avoid it. My babies really took a lot of my nutrition. They were really big healthy babies and when I delivered I weighed 10 lb. less than before I got pregnant. I think that really helped in the formation of stones, the babies taking away nutrients causing the cells to slough off and form stones. I had one bad attack at the end and the surgeon said I did not have a choice and told me it had to come out. I blame this bad attack on switching hospitals and them using a different treatment which used morphine instead of Demerol and I was violently sick and caused an ulcer. The reg. doc said it was time to talk to the surgeon. I had not done any internet research before this did not know what other options were out there. If I only knew then what I know now, I would never have gone through with it. Then gradually add other good foods. I too have gallstones and am thinking of having them removed. The logic is what use are they serving if they are filled with stones?
