I had some prickly feelings on my neck and jaw line. I do not have a thyroid though. My Dr started me on 50 mg Iodoral right off the bat. I felt "wiggy" for a while. It went away. I just toughed it out. I was also taking the combo that Dr. Brownstein recommends of Vit C/Mag/Cal to help with detox - Dr. Brownstein is my doc.

me too, I felt very wiggy, not sure what it means but it was wierd.

what I found with Iodoral is that I really really had to have 50mg per day. If I took less I had bad hypo symptoms, worse than usual. To me your symptoms are hypo and you actually need 50mg Iodoral.

Hi EveryOne,See some familiar names here:-))I've been trying different iodine supplements sporadically over theyears, - mostly kelp and seaweed,- but not very consistently. Last week I started Iodoral at one tablet and all was well. Today Iincreased to two tablets and felt a swelling and ache around mythyroid and throat that is lasting several hours...I take Armour thyroid regularly and also Isocort for Adrenals. I havehad this same reaction of throat swelling in the past, several yearsago, when taking too many kelp tablets.I will not take anything more until this goes away and then will startmuch more slowly. I don't know if this swelling means I am "iodinesensitive"; don't need any more iodine; or perhaps it is just a detoxsymptom?Has anyone else experienced this kind of reaction from Iodine?
