Humidity, PMS and STRESS

Hope everyone is doing great. I got a fill a couple of weeks ago and

have been doing great. All of sudden this week with this very, very

humid weather it seems that I've tightened up alot. Has this happened

to others out there? I know PMS and stress also plays a factor in the

tight feeling. Yesterday for example, I was able to drink and eat as

normal. Today, I absolutely cannot tolerate food at all, like not

even soup! I am drinking water slowly though. It's frustrating

because it's not like this everyday. I seem to change from day to

day?! I have this golfball feeling in my throat and just feel a

little out of sorts!

Hope your all well! And now, on to the continuing struggle!!

Love,

Rina

I have had PMS and sweating my arse off all week too and have been

eating like a pig and make the worst choices I could possible make

calorie wise.

I dont feel like there is anything I cant eat and am thinking I must

have that restriction that one strives for. At this point, and I

know it's very premature, but I would say the $10K I spent on this

has not been exactly justified...but then again I am ONLY banded

since June 15th and have lost all the weight in the pre op liquid

phase and maybe another 7 lbs after the banding but basically now I

am either not losing anything since July 15th or have possibly gained.

I am wondering what your expections were before you had the surgery.

I set what I felt was a very realistic goal of 2 years to lose 100

pounds. I did not gain all this weight in 3-4 months, so I didn't

expect to lose it that fast. I have been banded 13 months and have

lost 76 lbs -- 25% more than my goal of 50 pounds the first year. I

am extremely happy with my band and the changes in my life resulting

in losing 76 lbs. But it took me 3-4 fills to get to a good fill

level and be able to consistently eat only 1/2 - 1 cup of solid food

at a time. Then there are lots of mental adjustments to make in

order to make good food choices. This does not happen overnight, but

is a long term project.

Since you have the band, why not keep trying until you get it working

well for yourself? By next year you could be down at least 50 lbs,

if not 75 or 100.

Best of luck,

Betty

oops that should read, 25 *pounds* (actually 26), which would

actually be 50% more than my goal for the first year....
