Guest guest
I just joined this group hoping to add to the information I've been gathering all week. I just had my first ever gallbladder attack and spent last Sunday in the ER and was admitted to the hospital from there. Tests show that I have gallstones and the doctor wants me to have surgery as soon as I feel better. I've been in a lot of pain for these past 5 days. I'm home, but very weak and still have pain. I've been researching methods to do a gallbladder flush using olive oil and lemon juice and some herbs, etc. I'm concerned if all that olive oil will be too much on my gallbladder. Has anyone here done this flush successfully? Surgery will be my last choice as then I could do nothing else. I hope to do a purge first and if that doesn't work, I could always have surgery later. But I've also read of many possibly complications following this surgery, especially for older people. I'm a 68 yr. old female. I've also read that the Mediterranean diet is what I should be consuming now. Looking forward to any information. Amber
