Guest guest
I don't know what criteria YOUR doc has for a fill, but for me it simply means not losing for three or more weeks, while still doing all the right things...and really honestly being sure you're doing the right things. dan Monday, August 30, 2004, 12:30:09 PM, you wrote: J> I have an appointment with my surgeon on Wednesday. Guest guest
Jilie, I understand about not wanting to repeat history. But you've done a great job at losing weight. How much per week have you lost in the last 3 weeks? You don't want to get a fill if your still losing weight. It's not worth it as the reflux is painful. > Hi Group, > > I am about 14 weeks out from surgery and am doing quite well. Guest guest
, If you're eating pretty well, aiming for 1200-1500 cal a day, getting some good exercsie, but still not losing 1-2 # a week for 3-4 weeks in a row, it may well be time for another fill. I'm not sure why you feel you may need an UNfill? The hunger before the next meal is a clue you may need a bit more fill, too. When you say " every time I have lost weight in the past... " - do you mean BEFORE or AFTER banding? If you mean BEFORE banding, put all those thoughst and ideas aside, as you are in a completely new life now, with different issues and " normals. " What happened in the past is different now, and has little bearing on banded life , goals, foods, and weight loss. This is not just another diet, and all the " rules " and expectations are different. Don't worry, your " set pont " is not your present weight! Our bodies take regular breaks to adjust and " compact " , so your loss will not be regular, steady, or predictable. THat's why the 3-4 week with no loss guideline is there, so we don't panic as soon as our loss slows. You might walso want to refer to the guide in the files her called " How to tell if you are perefctly Adjusted. " It's a good basic guide to eating and fills. Tell us more!
