Gall Bladder and Thyroid

Hi!

I have just joined and have really enjoyed reading your messages--

such a wealth of information.

Five years ago, when I was 22, I was diagnosed with gallstones. My

doctor suggested removal of the gall bladder, however, I did not

follow his advice. I enlisted the help of a chinese herbalist and he

has done wonders for me.

About three weeks ago, I started having mild and small attacks that

have continued until today. It is my understanding that the gall

bladder in chinese medicine has a " close working relationship " with

the thyroid. Last year I was diagnosed in having a benign module as

was told to watch it. Again, I enlisted the assistance of my chinese

doctor who actually shrank the nodule. Everytime I have a gall

bladder attack, my noduel pops up again. My questions for this

group:

Has anyone had gall stones and thyroid issues at the same time? And

also, how frequently after an attack has anyone been told they have

an infection in the gall bladder? I was a little bit " yellow " a few

days ago and one of my lymph nodes in the thyroid area is a tiny bit

bigger. I am visiting my conventional doctor in a couple of weeks as

he told me to wait as in all probability, I have a small infection in

the gallbladder. This would cause the light swelling in the lymph

nodes.

Thoughts or similar experiences?

Thank you so very much!
