I've been using a couple of drops of iodine (just plain iodine in an

alcohol solution,

but Iodoral would be better) in a brine solution (like Ocean) and using

it as

a nose spray. That cured my postnasal drip in like, a day. I expect the drip

was due to a fungal infection. Anyway, I mention this because the nose spray

is rather safe and easy in a format that can be used on *kids* ... and

it works

like a charm on mine, who also had lots of drippy noses.

The iodine seems to disappear out of the brine solution after a week

or so, so you need to mix it up again or add more iodine (I expect

it turns into the gaseous form or the iodide form?).
