Hi Nirvani,

When I first started getting GB pain and joined this group, I think it was

Dave (sorry for my memory lapse, as you really helped!) who suggested that I try

a " band aid " fix for pain. That is, to take 1 tbspn epsom salts in a glass of

water or fresh squeezed grapefruit juice (drunk through a straw to avoid

heaving). It's called a " band-aid " fix, because it won't give the same results

from doing a proper flush, but it helps to relax the GB, to help release any

compaction in the colon and also to relieve the pain (until the next attack, of

course).

My pain would subside within 15 or 20 mins after the epsoms and it was a

blessed relief, I can honestly say, but you need to be near the bathroom for a

few

hours afterwards and keep up your fluid intake. I wouldn't do this more than

once or twice a week, but it got me through the worst of my biliary colic

attacks till I worked up the courage to flush properly and things settled a bit.

In addition to cutting out bad fats, I also started taking Flax Seed Oil,

lethicin and milk thistle, lots of fresh pressed garlic and balsamic salad

dressing on avocados (garlic for parasites), and ginger tea (for

inflamation)....things like that.

Not sure if this might help you and I'm no expert, Nirvani - just someone who

tried these things and they worked for me. Everyone's case is so variable and

I don't want to ill-advise you, but just thought I'd share what worked for me

in the early days before I was painfree enough to make some long term changes

in my lifestyle habits. Wishing you all the best, as you work your way back

to full health.

Blessings, n
