Celtic sea salt vs. other sea salt

Is Celtic Sea Salt superior to other natural, crystallized sea salts? Has

more iodine? What is the difference?

I have some Himalayan Pink sea salt that

is wonderful, and the list of minerals in both are almost identical.

Thanks Allyn. If Celtic sea salt does not contain iodine, then what is the

purpose of taking it? I always thought sea salt was loaded with iodine and

hence good to take, cook with, etc. Do you or does anyone know what the 84

minerals are?

The only sea salt I was able to find at the health food store is called

DeSouza's solar sea salt rock. The rocks are crystal clear, no colors at all.

Claims to be sun dried only, not kiln dried, and nothing added or removed. It

doesn't claim to have iodine or any other minerals. I did buy a bottle but am

not sure if I want to use it.

are other raw salts like Himalayan, Redmonds, and Hawaii has a nice red sea

salt. The purpose is to get a raw salt and not one that has been processed.

I think it is comparable to other unrefined sea salts but I ma not sure

I would say it is any better. I have some Himalayan Pink sea salt that

is wonderful, and the list of minerals in both are almost identical.

I use Remond Real Salt. I find it very reasonable in cost..the main factor

when everything else is equal I think.

I have never heard of that sea salt but maybe if you could get more info on

it maybe it would be ok.

Celtic Sea Salt is moist/damp because they harvest it from the ocean. You

can go online to find what all the minerals are for both sea salt and

Himalayan. We take the raw salt for the minerals and because the adrenals

need the good raw salt. Processed table salt is so very bad for you. There

is lots of info on the web about that too. I know personally I retain lots

of water with table salt but do not retain water with sea salt and can eat

lots of it. It is just used differently in our bodies and the raw is what

are bodies use the best.

I love this site, for Celtic Sea Salt. They have small 1/2 tsp

packets that I buy to take to restaurants to use. Also their sea salt

soap, and bath sea salts are great. V
