I get them in the same place, on and off. But I've never had the metallic taste.

Some people report faster results than others. I remember the day I took the Iodoral in the loading test, I felt like I was flying with energy and mental alertness. And I had been taking Lugol's for several months. Then over months, the energy stabilized and other things slowly changed. I can't even remember now what it was like to use coffee to get me through a day.

I had always tested normal on thyroid blood tests. But anybody who gets such a profound reaction from the test dose is clearly hypo. Dr. Shevin, describes those people as "living on fumes," meaning they are absorbing or getting so little iodine, that they really react fast.
