Guest guest
Sounds like how you're counting it is fair, but I don't think there is really any way to tell. Food coming out is physically different from food coming in, so who knows. What I have heard, though, is that it's a good idea to go back to liquids for the rest of the day on the day you have PB'd. That sort of throws off your whole count for the day anyway. mak
Guest guest
Nope, it doesn't count if you barf it!! But the protein we need is an average over several days - you don't have to get every bit of the 50- 60 grams in every single day. some days will be a bit lower, so just add a bit more on another day. Samw with clories. some days you might be muich tighert than others, and able to get in less. Adda bit more on other days. You just shouldn't be CONSISTENTLY low on protein, fiber, or calories. A good goal with a decent fill is about 1200-1500 cal a day, and more if you're starting off heavier than most. The BMR calculator on fitdy is another eye-opener! Most of us are burning off 2500-3000 cal a day just existing and moving - so we sure were eating 10x what we needed, if we were gaining all that weight! yikes... Sandy R// Sandy - I'm so glad you mention that in your reply because I was just going to ask if anyone else got a shock when seeing the amount of calories burned just by " existing " !! Even at the lowest activity level lifestyle in FitDay (without any additional exercise) it's amazing that FitDay calculates we burn 2500 calories everyday. At a more active level lifestyle it calculates we burn around 3500 calories everyday. Which does bring me to a puzzling question. If a person uses 2500 calories everyday regardless and only consumes 1000 calories in food & beverage, then they are burning an extra 1500 calories per day. And if 1 pound of weight = 3500 calories, then mathmatical it seems expected that a person would lose at least least 1 lb every 2-1/2 days. Granted we take into account that some days we eat more & some days we eat less. Also, some of our burned fat is probably turning into muscle (which weighs more, etc). I guess in a way this is encouraging because we KNOW weight loss is is happening, however in another way it seems discouraging because now I want to see that darn scale move EVERY 2 DAYS!! Guest guest
I'm wondering when you were banded? Or perhaps you're not yet banded...? can't imagine that you're banded and have never heard of a pb, or FitDay.com. Please tell us more about you, so we can help you more.... Guest guest
PB means Barf. It is a stupid term that I hate and don't use. Barf, puke, vomit, heave, etc, all work for me, and I don't need another one. www.fitday.com is a website where you can track what you're eating if you're into such things. I'm not, but it is a useful tool for those who want to be sure they're not eating too much, getting enough protein, etc. Monday, August 30, 2004, 5:24:23 PM, you wrote: r> I am very new at this and I was reading your post and I don't not r> know what PB means or counts for FITDAY? Guest guest
I agree Dan. Doesn't it stand for Productive Burp? BULL! That's not burping! That is heaving your guts up! I have never had a doctor use the term to me so it is possible to be banded and not know what that is. You would almost have to know another Bandster or be on a list to hear it. Keep asking questions! The only stupid one is the one that isn't asked. Tammy Re: Re: Does a PB Count on FitDay??? > PB means Barf. It is a stupid term that I hate and don't use.
