Hi Tina

I've heard of two different people on a forum who were told by their

hospital consultants (specialists) that it's low fat diets that cause

gallstones. The reason I go for low carb is because it completely removes

my acid reflux. Every attack I've had has been preceded by acid reflux and

the pain during the attack is more like inflammation of the stomach lining

than anything else.

Please can you give me some references that would convince me low carb is

NOT the way to go?

Re thyroid tests, due to my ME/CFS I'm presently waiting for an appointment

with an endocrinologist. I've been referred by my doctor (different system

here in the UK!). I persuaded my doctor to test my t3 and t4 but only got

t4 results back because they won't test the t3 if the t4 is " normal " !!!!

Talk about frustrating!! Still, doctor agreed to refer me to an endo so

that's my best hope at the moment.

Alison

I just remembered another reason for low-carbing - it reduces cholesterol.

low carb is not the way to go here and I don't know how you think this

is good--low carb is usually way too much protein as protein and high

fats are what contribute to Gallstones---(which is why I think both

hubby and I have this)

go fruits, veggies--and fish.

Also digestive enzymes---when you eat only

and you really need to do flushing----

have to do it---you are clogged up big time!!!!

get rid of all protein until you can flush!!! and fats---

and then flush!!!!!

Hi Alison,

Have you ever tried raw Apple Cider Vinegar and honey? If you drink it 15

min before a meal, it will eliminate heartburn. I tried it towards the end

of my last pregnancy and it worked like a charm.
