time to decrease armour?

I started taking Lugol's one week ago...the first day 4 drops, and

then 8 drops. I've been taking 2 grams of Thyroid-S (Armour

equivalent)for years. I have had trouble sleeping the past two days

and I'm wondering if I need to decrease the armour - could the Lugol's

work that quickly?

I am feeling more alert. No other potentially hyper symptoms.

Does anyone have experience with this situation? I'm thinking about

decreasing the Armour by 1/4 or 1/2 a gram - does that sound reasonable?

Thanks in advance for any insights you can offer me,

Deanna

I think you need magnesium. To start lowering your Armour so quickly is a

mistake, wait for the

hyper symptoms. BTW, I don't think any of us taking any serious dose of thyroid

meds have

successfully lowered the dose while (or even after) dosing iodine. I thought I

could recently but

I think all the salt I have been taking has started a potassium deficiency that

led to some

symptoms I thought were hyper symptoms. I ended up with some serious heart

arrhythmia so back up

I went. Had to stop iodine until I stablize too.
