I decided to take a new approach to exercise today. I've been working

on time and distance so I could build my stamina but this isn't doing

me any good where weight loss is concerned right now. Today I got on

my treadmill and slowed down between 2.5 - 3.0 and began walking at

inclines from 4.0 - 10.0 Talk about feeling the burn..my legs and butt

are still mildly sore. I leveled the incline as I would get out of

oxygen but then bumped it right back up when I got my wind back again.

I only lasted 15 minutes for half a mile but what a difference in

intensity! After I got off the treadmill I got on my recumbent bike

and kept on there for the last 15 minutes set between 5 - 7. We'll see

if bumping intensity up every other day helps lodge me from this

plateau. I haven't been pushing myself this hard out of fear of

hurting my back again so it's probably wiser to work hard like this

every other day rather than daily.

I've also decided to try and up the calories a bit..I cringe at the

thought that I might regain but right now my band is pretty loose so

I'll give that much advised option a whirl before getting my next fill.

The first 50 pounds fell off so effortlessly, this is the first time

since being banded I've really had to work at it.

I found a couple of videos for the over 40 crowd and a good arm toning

one. Now if I could find something for my stomach that won't hurt my

neck or back I'll be able to work on all the muscle groups. If anyone

knows of a good ab video for beginners let me know ok;-)
