Joyce,

CONGRATULATIONS! You're right - that is the best birthday present

one could ask for. Crossing 200 seems to be tough for a lot of us. I

am so happy for you!

And happy birthday!

Hugs,

Jo

Joyce how wonderful! It is the best present you could have ever given

yourself! I second you in happiness with the band.

Milestone!!!!

Hi all,

I am not normally on the boards but lurk all the time. Many of you

know me, though.

I am so excited right now, I can hardly sit still!

It's my birthday today - and I've given myself the best birthday

present ever. I just weighed in at the Group Health scale I use

regularly - and it's at 199.5!!!!!

I was striving all week to get down under 200 before my birthday - I

did it!!!!!

I second, third, and fourth everyone else that speaks about how

wonderful the band is and how they are getting their lives back. My

energy level is through the roof, the compliments are plentiful, and

I'm enjoying a body I haven't seen in over 12 years.

I'm being honored next week as the Parent Volunteer of the Year at my

daughter's school. Everyone's been asking what I'm going to wear.

As I was going through my wardrobe with a girlfriend today, we tried

on so much that's too big. There's not much left in the closet to

wear. All my " old " smaller clothes are out-of-date. We did find

something for me, but her advice was " Joyce, you've got to go

shopping " . I did go looking the other day - and believe I've left

the women's department behind. Now, I'll have to figure out how to

go back to the regular sizes. It's a chore I'll relish!

So, thank you, Jessie, , Elma, Jo, Joanne, Heidi, Jan W,

G, P and all of you for your support in person and on the

boards.

Celebration - that's what I'm going to do tonight!!!!

Joyce - That is so great!!! Seeing a number that starts with " 1 " is

a real big deal and you should be so proud. We are all proud of you -

keep it up! Also, Happy Birthday!!!

Happy Bandaversary to Jan Elliott and her hubby Tom Hunter - Two

years ago today!!! Congrats on your success & happiness.

It's times like this that make us " old bandsters " feel like proud

parents. Hearing from people who came after us and to have you make

us feel like we have made a difference in someone else's life is such

a cool thing.

Happy weekend to you all.

Dear Joyce,

I have been wondering about you, your news is wonderful! I am

cheering for you and am very proud of you commitment to exercise

after bash. Don't ever sit still again, stay active and busy. Your

friend is right (And my advice is to take her shopping with you,

leaving the " Womens " stores and departments was dramatic for me but

a good friend gave me great shopping support recently) get something

TIGHT and exciting to wear, not that tight is so nice, but it just

is hard to stay in a size for very long these days, isn't it!!!

Hope your birthday was wonderful and as uplifting for you as your

successful weight loss. Thank you for sharing your success here!

Congratulations on your award for excellent mothering as well!

Way to go!!!

That has got to be the best feeling, seeing that number dip down to a weight

you almost couldn't believe you would ever see... and yet, there it is.

I recommend Goodwill or Value Village for clothes shopping - you can get a

LOT of stuff for very little, and it doesn't cost too much. Then you go back

a month later, drop off all those clothes because they're now too big, and

pick up a whole new wardrobe - again!

I learned the hard way that buying new clothes was a real wa$te, as I've not

stayed the same size for more than two months. And I've found some wonderful

designer clothes at thrift stores, sometimes new, still with the tags on!

ALSO, congratulations on being chosen Parent Volunteer of the Year! We're so

focused on weight loss that we almost missed that very important honor.

You have much to be proud of... you must feel SO blessed!!!
