Guest guest Posted July 9, 2008 Report Share Posted July 9, 2008 hi louise, thanks for that - i know that most hypo's tend to have a low blood pressure but i can see that there are quite a few out there hypertensive as well. to put another log on the fire, i was at the gp's this morning regarding my bone scan and have been told that i have osteopenia. (i really needed something else!) . he has started me on alendronic acid tablets as a bone builder. does anyone know if there are contraindications taking this whilst on armour ? I am sure there are natural meds which might be much better for you, I am sure the doc knows what he is doing but maybe he can suggest a more natural way? For instance, hypos tend towards carpal tunnel sydrome and I have just found this paper.. http://bmj.bmjjournals.com/cgi/content/full/330/7482/74 Whilst carpal tunnel is probably a better gamble than osteoporosis in the end. I take 4000 iu of Vit D3 and Calcium and magnesium every day, I cannot say how I am doing inside the bones as my doc doesn't bother to test me lol, I just do it because I am hypo and post menopausal.
