Guest guest
ZOE I have felt A LOT of different symptoms on Iodoral 50mg, but always worse if I decreased the dose. Now I am feeling alot more stable on it after 5 months. What I wonder is if you felt very different on the 50mg? I tried 50mg in one dose and really felt bad, but I can handle 25mg 2X a day. Gracia Yesterday, I started on my new regime of 100 mg Iodoral. I had mild diarrhea, but otherwise did well. I was glad to discover that the 50 mg tablets (although significantly larger) are not difficult to swallow. [For those of you who missed (or can't remember) my email about Abraham, he instructed me to take 100 mg of Iodoral for one month. Previously, after over 3 months on 50mg, my iodine loading test came back at only 48%. We're experimenting to see if we can figure out what is happening.] I'm hoping, since I had almost 6 months on Iodoral before (with over 3 months at 50 mg), I won't have any significant symptoms. When I first was on 50 mg Iodoral, I got constipated and toxic, and then had severe diarrhea for several days. After that, I took lots of Mg, Vit C, unrefined salt, and water, and had no further problems. Zoe
Guest guest
I am off my Iodoral for the next 2 days in preparation for my Loading test. I am feeling tired today. I wonder if it correlates. I just want to make sure that there isn't any excess iodine from supplementation floating around. I will probably do the test on Saturday since I have a Dr's appt on Friday. I am anxious to see how I come out now that Zoe has posted her results. I was at ZERO level when Dr. Brownstein tested me back in February and have been supplementing with 50 mg Iodoral since then. I am hoping my test results move more quickly than 5 weeks since it was ordered by Dr. B. I am pretty sure they will. I am w/o a thyroid so I am not sure how it is being used by my body other than I am convinced it is killing the thyroid cancer cells. B. Hi , I am trying to understand how long Iodoral stays in my body. From what you write above I think 2 days. Is that correct? If not do you know? Thanks, Abbe __________________________________________________
Guest guest
I think it is actually 1-2 weeks. When I had to do a low iodine diet and test before I had RAI I had to do the diet for 2 weeks. So if you completely eliminate the iodine from your diet it takes that long to get it all used up. I was at a .05 ug when they tested me. The last time I did it w/o being on a LID with Dr. Brownstein it was undetectable so I am convinced that our food does not provide what we need since it was 10 mos after I did the LID that Dr. B tested me. The Kit says to stop taking your supplement 24-48 hours before. Well I stopped Wed afternoon intending to do the test today. DUH! But the instructions say to send it out Fed Ex 2 day and that won't work. So I will start the test on Sunday AM and send it out on Monday. I am debating on taking Iodoral today. I don't want to skew the test by being off it so long. I don't know of that helps. B. I take that to mean, not that Iodoral was completely out of my body when I noticed the change but I think it says something about the amount I need. I mean if I feel off it may mean I am not getting enough. In terms of your current test I think your questioning yourself about it has meaning but only you can interpret it. Thanks again and best wishes, Abbe __________________________________________________
