Good point. I forgot that the spot test is taken before the iodine loading dose.

I don't know if the short time you took Lugol's could have affected the spot test. I know that iodine can stay in the body for a long time. The original research on Iodine and goiter in the Midwest in the early 1900s gave the iodine dose just twice a year and virtually eliminated goiter in a goiter-prone population. I suspect your Lugol's could have had that effect.
