Guest guest
Hi everyone, My audi recently added a soft map for days when I have I migraine or am experiencing a manic episode due to my bipolar. I'm curious of any of you have soft maps as well and the reason you have them? How does a soft map help you? In my case, I'm oversensitive to sounds when I have a migraine or am manic. I also have recruitment, so using a softer map makes environmental sounds more comfortable. Before I close, I also wanted to share another CI moment I had. As I was putting my key in the lobby door of my apartment complex, I heard someone say " Let me get that for you. " There was solid glass between us and the person who spoke to me had a soft female voice. I used to have difficulty understanding female voices whether they were soft or loud, but this time, I heard her clearly.
Guest guest
Hi , I had a similar map when I was going through medication changes that affected my hearing. It was a short term situation, but really helped. Ruth From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of lkozlik@... Guest guest
Ruth, It's ironic that you should mention med changes. Since I have bipolar, my meds are adjusted and/or changed every 1-3 months. I never thought about that being a reason to have a soft map, but it makes perfect sense.
