Hearing Loss Association of Los Angeles April Meeting. (Please see our

Hi Friends!

Saturday, April 24th Meeting: GUEST SPEAKER: Professor Joyce Linden (CSUN)

shares her experiences and knowledge gained from her long career in deaf

education. The daughter of deaf parents, Joyce has spent 46 years in deaf

education, is an expert on communication issues and is known for her

successful finger spelling workshops.

Also, our HLAA membership drive continues. If you¹re already a member, bring

your ID numbers with you!

Hope to see you there... Make sure to show up for the meeting hungry,

there¹s ALWAYS plenty of food!

NOTE: All meetings are captioned!

April 24th

Doors open at 9:30. From 9:30-10:00 we'll have refreshments and a social

time. The meeting will start promptly at 10:00.

Hearing Loss Association of Los Angeles HLA-LA, was founded in September

2004 by a group of adults with hearing loss. The purpose of this group is to

bring support and understanding to all people who live with a hearing loss

(whether it is mild to severe) and their family and friends. HLA-LA members

communicate by lip reading, writing signs, sign language or the use of a

real time captionist. Membership is free.
