Barb, I finished just after you. I did 48 weeks, didn't you do 24? I was in a TOTAL fog the first 2 weeks which has been getting better most days since. I'm still having headaches, but not as often. I am having some depression sneak through, but not much, and not severe. I get a few tears in every now & then, but no hysteria. I'm still on my Lexapro. Are you still on anti-d's?

We had a math teacher in elementary school that gave us a test with about 200 questions on it and she told everyone to be sure to read the whole test before starting. Most people just started doing the test, but the few of us who read the directions, only answered the 3 questions it told us to.

I really like the tests, but I had an advantage, I was suspecting tricks. When I was young our 8th grade Science Teacher announced a Finals Pop Quiz on the very last day of school, we all protested, but to no avail. He passed out a 50 question test similar to the one we all took as our Monday Morning Test here in the group. I swear that after you are bitten hard by something like this as a youngster it stays with you. It was very funny to go over the test results that day in class and find out how gullible & naive we were.

I didn't get to take the USA States test as it wouldn't load for me.

And what I was talking about in my post to you was when you said well at least they are good dreams, I really mean it, they are too damn good.

On another front I am noticing a really bad mood swing tendency lately, I go from darn near suicidal, to on top of the world in about a 24 hour cycle, I will admit that some days there are very depressing things going on in my life and many stressors. But it is starting to frighten me. Can any of you that are done with tx tell me how long the meds take to wear off mentally? I know I had bi-polar tendancies before tx but it really has gotten out of hand. Barb

Hey Gail...

I wish you could have made it for the feast last night. I would have had you try to teach my young Rottie mix some manners while you were here. Other than the incredible disappearing dog, I had a nice quiet evening... watched The Firm then slept to the sounds of rain and frogs. Still raining and foggy this morning.

What kind of problems are you having that they are doing circulation tests?

Llinda

Well shoot... my doc just phoned and it does not look like Emphysema is the problem, yippee. But, the tests that read my 'diffusion capacity' show the filtering of my lungs is only working at 54%. They are setting up an appointment with Dr. Pluto (no kidding, lol) who is a lung specialist.

... Translation please???

I'll come over for the pizza and ice cream.Let us know how the tests went when you find out.I have to go for the circlation tests on my left side this Thursday. Will ask how long it takes for results.Have a great day and take it easy.

Hey Suzie... was just looking at your photos. Spyke is a gorgeous big boy! And you and your niece looked beautiful too. I had to toss Deaf Kitty off my lap in fear of love at first sight, lol. I can post them to the photo site in a few minutes if you like?

I am not done with TX, boo hoo. Still have somewhere around 20 or 22 weeks to go I think. It is messed up because of being so sick and pulled off for awhile.

I think you did mention Lung Infiltrates once... will write that in on s note to question the doc. Sure would make me happy if that is all it is!

Llinda

Llinda, Did you mention the Interferon side effect that I told you about? Lung Infiltrates they call it. I know you finished tx but it could be still hanging around.

Hey Gail, when you were on tx you said it was a trial or a study right. When I did tx the last time it was a study of interferon & ribivirin 3 shots a week & 6 ribivirin a day. When were you on tx?

SuZiegail <gaila@...> wrote:

Your going on a lot better treatment this time Suzie.Yes you will get sides but at least your shots once a wk so you will only be sick a couple of days each wk.Try 52wks treatment and see what happens.

I was on that tx in '95 or '96 but never had any immune system problems, of course I didn't finish tx they took me off after 12 weeks. I did get every side effect you can name with the exception of anorexia damn it. I get yearly flu shots & pneumonia shots whenever my family doc says to(omg another participle dangles) I'm supposed to start tx soon, we'll see what happens this time.

SuZiegail <gaila@...> wrote:

A lot of the people that were on the same treatment as me complained of an impaired immune system afterwards.I was on the old treatment of interferon at 3 shots a wk and riboveron at 5pills a day.It is basically cancer treatment and I know there is a drug that they use for cancer patients to improve their immune system.I just have to find out what it is.I am very sick with a head and chest cold.Am forcing myself to eat and through the whole day I eat one peice of toast,2 egg rolls. and some meat at night the size of a hamberg..I have diarrea that is like water,I have to hold my head when I cough.I feel like shit.Take care hon

It helps to prevent bone loss.. Which is one of the side effects of the cellcept..I take 500 mcg's daily..But it won't help replace want is gone forever..I have seen that they have come out with a menopause test kit.. I didn't. No hot flashes, no night sweats, no mood swings. It was GREAT! I'd been expecting something like my mothers or Edith Bunker's - my Mum still has night sweats. Instead I got this nothing & I couldn't be happier. I think that at least 50% of it is imagination.

Wow all together 20 kids. Now I know what people do for fun when they are stuck inside during winter in cold country. Honey, I wish you got to see more of them and had a closer relationship with all the grandkids. They grow up so fast. But you are Mama Gail and you have us. Oh Oh I just

stressed you out more. We are a handful at times but a lovable group of wackos. :) Love and Hugs. Deb
