Another weight question.....

I gained 30 lbs in the 7 months that I was on 10mg of Lexapro and 3

weeks ago I went to 5mg in hopes that I would wean off of it in a

couple more weeks. During the past 3 weeks, I have gained an

additional 7.5 lbs.

Has anyone else had this occur?

I am stressing out because I gained weight on the Lexapro and I'm

gaining weight as I lessen my dose! I am fearful that in a couple

of weeks when I stop taking the Lexapro I will have another huge

weight gain. This is not what I expected to happen.

Any insight would be much appreciated!

I've been on 30 mg of Lexapro for a couple of years. I've gained

weight and I've lost weight on Lexapro. However, I gained weight

because I was extremely stressed out, eating like a cow, and sitting

on my butt like it was in style. I joined Weight Watchers two weeks

ago and I've already lost 7 pounds. You just need to watch what you

eat, how much you eat, and get some excersize.

I am currently on 5mg down from 10. I plan on stopping altogether

early next week.
