Ever since I have started taking Lexapro....I have been so tired.

BUT, somenights I still lay awake trying to sleep- while others I am

knocked out. Mr dr suggested taking lex at night- because it does

tend to make people tired.

My question is, how does Lexapro work for sleep problems? Does it

help alleviate it by reducing anxiety? Right now, I barely sleep.

Benedryl doesn't help much. Hope this gets better, because I have a

young family and it's really beginning to take a toll...

Thanks,

Sam

Alprazolam, generic of Xanax works great on insomnia. I have had the best nights

sleep Ive had in years, and I only take 1 miliigram a day, half in the morning,

half at night. Terry

Lexapro doesn't help me sleep at all. Quite the opposite. I never

used to have trouble sleeping.

I took 10 mg of Lexapro at night and felt more relaxed. I got a half

night's sleep; still woke up around 4 a.m. tossing and turning and

extremely restless. Most of my anxiety comes at night. Has anyone

been in this situation? I am on my fifth day on Lexapro. I feel

spacey and distracted during the day. After a couple of weeks, do

these problems taper off?
