Hi There and Happy New Year,

I take 20 mg Lexapro and have been on it about 2 months. I used to take it

in the morning but it made me a bit sluggish not a whole lot though. So now

I take it before I go to bed and I feel great in the morning! The only side

effect is that my energy level is slightly lower than before, but I think the

fact that I am 45 yrs old, overweight and pre-menopausal has a lot more to

do with my low energy level. I finally went back to the gym a few days ago

and that helped. Exercise, even if it's 20 min of cardio, does a great deal of

good, especially for those of us on meds that make us feel a bit lazy.

Regards,

Liz

Happy New Year, everyone! I am a new member in need of some feedback.

I was prescribed Zoloft 50 mg for PMDD. I took one pill only and I

thought I was going to die! The side effects were horrendous, from a

panic attack, tremors to vomiting etc. My doc switched me to Lexapro 10

mg and told me to take it only 5-7 days before my period starts.

Honestly, I am scared to death to take Lexapro in fear of getting

horrible side effects again. Can anyone share their experiences with me

as far as the side effects go? I know that everyone is different and

everyone reacts differently. I have read hundreds of pages on Internet

about Lexapro and really no one had anything good to say about it. Is

it that bad? Also, I am a little bit surprised to be told by the doc to

take Lexapro only one week in a month. Is this normal? Please respond.

I never heard of anyone taking Lexapro for only 7 days out of each month. That

sounds strange.

I'm surprised you haven't heard anything good about Lexapro. I've been on it

over a month now and I never had any side effects at all. It has also made me so

I'm not crying all the time like I was before. I guess I'm glad I'm taking it,

although of course the best of all worlds would be to never have to take any

medications at all. That's not very likely as we age.

the only negative side effect I've had is the

excessive tiredness. I hope to get out and walk more

this year to help counteract that. (no promises

though)ak
