Guest guest
LOL, I can hear that theme playing now. Thanks Jeff..... now I will be hearing it all night long....... LOL....... you know how songs get stuck in your head ??????? LOL !!!!!!!!! When we went to obedience school it was the very best experience for me. This teacher was a wealth of information. First she impressed upon us that all dogs are wolf's in sheeps clothing, LOL. Then she said that most breeds remain in puppy stage until well over 2 years old, so Jeff ole buddy......... put that grandfather clock and roll top desk away !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL, giggling !!!! Guest guest
Dana: You see, I am rather thick skulled! This is my 3rd beagle (One passed away a few years ago) and I should know better by now....Puppyhood for this breed lasts 2.5 yrs minimum!!! Ouch. However they are a great breed with women and children...They just like to torture us men!!! I have no children and am single....so why did I buy the breed....well you saw the picture! I buy lots of bitter apple spray but the little bugger has learned to tolerate it! He also barks early in the morning to wake me up to play... I bought a $60 dog bark collar that emits a small shock when he barks....SOOOOO....HE HAS LEARNED TO MAKE A NOISE THAT DOES NOT SET IT OFF!!!! As I said...Devil Dog!!! Now the older Beagle deals with him quite effectively....when the little one gets on his nerves....he simply head butts him across the room! (a riot to watch!)I have not tried that approach yet but am considering it! I have lots of Lex left over....I wonder if he would do well on it.....(just kidding!) P.S. I happy that you are laughing now.....even though it is at my expense! <grin> Jeff > LOL, I can hear that theme playing now. Thanks Jeff..... now I will > be hearing it all night long....... Guest guest
LOL Jeff........... shaking my head........ but you know I think beagle puppies are soo adorable and hard to resist. I once adopted one too and named him Spencer, after Spencer Anyway, I had to give him up because of his barking tooo. My parents used to have this thing attached to their dogs collar and everytime I would go for a visit, my mother would run around pressing the transmitter and it would emit a high piercing noise that would give me an instant headache and the dog just ignored it and kept barking. So you could well imagine the scene..... old woman chasing dog with transmitter in hand that made a loud noise and dog continued to bark. I prefer the milder version of pets........... the feline variety..... at least they don't bark and you don't have to take them outside on cold windy rainy nights.
