Guest guest Posted January 24, 2004 Report Share Posted January 24, 2004 Sounds like he wants you to take 20mg but from all that I have heard 5 or 10mg is the normal styart dose...I would call and ask the Doc! Some people feel better within days but you should be prepared for a 3-6 week stint just in case it takes longer for you...we are all different. It is highly unlikely that he is starting you at 20mgs of Lex!!!!!!!!! Lex can have some serious sides, so doctors usually start people at 5 or 10 mgs. Is this a pdoc or a gp, or other? I think your doc probably meant each package is a two week supply, making the samples he gave you a four week supply. ~Bali P.S. To be on the safe side: I would suggest that you call your doc and find out the exact dosage and not assume it's 20mg, it might be less. Also look at that some of the posted messages on the lexapro website.....
