-- 3 questions: aches, OTC pain relievers, and insomnia

Hi all,

I started Lexapro two weeks ago. After 2 days at 5 mg, I had such terrible

muscle

aches that I lowered the dose to 2.5 and have been slowly working my way up

again.

I still have muscle pains but they're not as bad. So, what kind of OTC pain

relievers

are people using? There is a warning against using blood thinners like

aspirin,

naproxen and ibuprofen with Lexapro, so I'm thinking of using acetaminophen,

which

also has a warning.

Also, I have the worst insomnia now. No matter what time of day I take it,

at 11 pm, I

get a rush of energy that lasts until about 5 am. I tend to have insomnia

anyway, but

after a week, this is getting ridiculous. My MD gave me trazadone and I've

tried

xanax and ambien which usually knock me out, but none of these work. Any

thoughts?

And finally, I'm feeling a little nervous about the lex because my muscle

pains were so

severe that I had to lie down -- I'm pretty healthy in general and 36 yrs

old so this

was very strange for me.

Thanks for your help,

Mati

I think my dr. mentioned this to me because I'm hypotensive and my blood

pressure

drops suddenly anyway. Aspirin and ibuprofen can make it worse and so can

Lexapro,

at least that's my understanding.
