Guest guest
Hehe..... Now you guys got me a little bit scared! I'd better get one of those home pregnancy kits. But this morning I took my Lex after eating a big raisen-cinnamon bagel, with lo-fat cream cheese, washed down with some Peppermint herbal tea, and had no nausea.... until, .... this afternoon! You are right: the nausea feeling hit me when I was completely empty in my stomach. So I had some non-fat Vanilla yogurt, an oatmeal breakfast bar, and some of that good Tummy Mint tea that Celestial Seasonings makes, and that took care of the nauseous feeling. That stuff is THE BEST: the Tummy Mint tea. Highly recommend it. Always nips the nausea RIGHT in the bud. I keep it on hand now... even in the car! I got a hot tea from Starbucks, put one of their 'Awake' teabags in it just for a minute, and then my own teabag of the Tummy Mint tea in it for 6 minutes (which is how long they say to let is steep). It was a good combination, as the Awake tea is a black tea with caffeine, so that gave me a lift too just when I needed it. I am " into " combining different types of teas. At night, I like to combine Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime tea with their Peppermint tea. I used to put Kava Kava tea into this combination, too, until I learned that regular use of Kava Kava is REALLY bad for your kidneys. Too bad, as it helped me to wind down so that I could get to sleep faster. Of course, the Valerian in the Sleepytime tea does that too, which I continue to use even though my doctor told me not to take Valerian supplements. I hope it's not " getting in the way " of the Lex too much! Doesn't seem to be. I still feel the Lex " helping " me. --Diane Re: Diane Re: Stomach problems on Lex? When I first went on Lexapro, I had that morning nausea feeling I had when I was pregnant. Not any more. I had my tubes tied after my daughter was born, and that was almost seven years ago. The stork is firmly locked out of the house. LOL Thea Diane Re: Stomach problems on Lex? > Hi, Diane - Are you sure you're not pregnant? Guest guest
Diann, why did your doc say not to take valerian? I think alot of herbal products can and do interfere with SSRI's. Which is a drag, since I'm an Herbalife distributor and love their products. I was using them to lose weight and for general health. While I can still drink the protein drink, I find any of the Thermojetic products like the tea, or even some of the supplements make me feel a bit anxious or panicky or something, and also increase the nausea. When I don't use the products much, no nausea. Thea Diane Re: Stomach problems on Lex? > > > > Hi, Diane - Are you sure you're not pregnant?
