I am currently taking 10 mg of Lex, but as I said in an earlier post

after feeling great at about week 5, I " crashed " at week 7 -- feeling

tired again, blue, unmotivated, etc.. I called my doctor today, she

said to go up to 20 mg daily. So --- anyone out there on 20 mg from

10 mg --- (1) Why did they " up " you? and (2) Did you experience

negative side effects going to the higer dose? Or - did it help?

As we all know...different doses and meds affect us all in different

ways.

Personally, when I was on 10mg, I was pretty good side effect wise.

When I upped to 20mg, I started becoming more anxious (a different

feeling than the original condition) and the insomnia began. At 30mg

severe Insomnia, " mushroom head " , and anxiety attacks along with

High BP set in hard.

I soon thereafter gradually tapered down and finally off, and have

stayed off lex for 7-8 months now. I have my rough days with my

original GAD but have been able to control it with a small dose of

valium (5mg x2 times daily or when I need it....I rarely take the

full dose).The SSRI side effects are gone....I Sleep very well

AGAIN, lost some weight, BP returned to normal and the Anxiety

attacks stopped (not the original GAD though)

Suggest you talk to your Doc!

Hi Deb ~ ~ For me, my anxiety increased 10-times and I had to

increase the Klonopin to counter that. I really found no benefit for

going up to a higher dosage - (15 mg).
