I have received three zaps over a period of 2-1/2 years while sleeping. I did

not even know that they had happened until the icd was interrogated at my

regular (quarterly) visit to the electrocardiologist. I felt nothing.

Interesting query about being zapped while standing in a stream. I wonder if it

would be the same as getting zapped while bathing/showering. Has this happened

to anybody?

Hey Jimmy,

Great snapshot! No I don't fish and have nothing to offer about that

question.

Sorry to hear about your zaps -- I know how unsettling that can be --

hopefully you will not have any more for a long time! Thinking of you and

wanted you to know that we are all here if you need a sounding board.

It's hard to explain until you have felt them, its not painful just aggravating.

It only happens when you stop taking the med. This was my experience with

Lexapro, some people experience with other antidepressants. It freaked me out at

first. I ended up doing a search online and realized that it was from

withdrawing from the Lexapro..the zaps were still there after a month so now I'm

back on the stuff.

To describe the feeling, when you move your eyes to the left or right, you just

get this odd feeling in your head and makes the head feel a bit numb. I hate it

and was shocked to know that so many other people experienced the same thing.

Some ppl call them brain zaps, or brain shocks....

I call them the brain pains and they are absolutley indescribable. What a

weird, shocking feeling. I hate them soooooooooooo much that I am certain to

take my lex at the same time every day.
