Guest guest
My story goes like this. I started taking 10 mg in am at suggestion of doc. Felt tired, nausea and had headaches. Cut my pills in half and started taking before bedtime. Only took 5 mg for about 6 months, then gradually increased. I now take 10 mg before bedtime. It has really helped to calm me and take the edge off. My OCD is much better and I don't have the depression I would always experience before my periods. I gained 10lbs, and am really struggling to get it off. I'll take the weight gain over the alternative.
Guest guest
Hi, I read you message and I have a similar situation. I'm on 10 mg. of Lexapro, my doctor suggested to increase to 15 mg.which i tried, but it made me too tired. I'm now back on 10 and feel that would be the right dose as it takes the edge off and yet I can function. I still have issues to deal with such as a driving phobia, but I am feeling better. I also gained 13 lbs.I really haven't seriously started working on that problem as yet, but I will at some point. I wish you good luck and hope you feel much better. Guest guest
Hi Guys and Gals, I know this won't be a very popular solution, but I've truly found that exercise is the key to fighting the fatigue. Trust me, I am ALWAYS tired. I've been on Lex for a year now, and just started exercising about 6 weeks ago. I can't believe the difference for me! I used to get my kids to school, and nap from 8:30 am, til about 1, or 2 pm! On the days that I go and work out, I do not nap, well maybe a ten minute snooze around 4 or 5 pm, but that's it! It's really incredible. Otherwise, yes the Lexapro made me utterly exhausted! I bet Dagmar agrees with me, as she is an athletic person, right Dagmar? I have quite a bit of weight to lose, and I'm slowly on my way. I feel better mood-wise too. But I don't know if I'll ever be able to stop taking AD's? Anyway, I just wanted to share my solution, it's definitely hard work, and difficult getting myself there, but there are SO SO many benefits! They aren't kidding when they say to be active! Even if you take baby steps, do something for yourselves, please... Take care, Crystal Hi, I read you message and I have a similar situation. Guest guest
Another thing: I have a doctor friend who says it's healthier and better to be an overweight person who exercises than a thin person who doesn't. So we should all be exercising, even people who are already skinny! > Hi Guys and Gals, > > I know this won't be a very popular solution, but I've truly found that > exercise is > the key to fighting the fatigue. Guest guest
Well, I'm definitely an overweight person--Hehehehe. I've started walking, and deal with you know the sore ankles, being out of breath etc. I use a white cane as a mobility aid so I don't walk as fast as a sighted person, you know swinging their arms back and forth for speed and balance. But I do walk, and that's something.
