mapping question

Hi All,

Greetings.

Since I joined this forum 3 months ago I went through

the process of evaluation, surgery and finally the

hookup 3 days ago on the 25th. I never had a chance to

post on this forum but by mere chance I found answers

to all my concerns, questions, doubts,fears,

everything sofar, in one of the responses - this place

is such informative.

I was activated with the FreedomSP and on the first

program (p1) so far all I could hear is tintintin. I

still have the hearing aid on the unimplanted ear.

Today as per the audi's schedule, I switched to p2

(supposed to be on it for 3 days) and now the tintins

are a little smoother. I still can't make out anything

in the implanted ear and infact p2 seem to make my

hearing with the hearing aid in the other ear less

legible. My next mapping appointment is a week away

and I am supposed to try p3 and p4 by then. Seem like

the channel rate for all the programs is set at 1200

and the maxima (CIS channels) is set at 8. Appreciate

if anybody can give me some feedback.
