Guest guest Posted June 5, 2006 Report Posted June 5, 2006 All to you, I think it is best for you to contact or ask your own audologist about the questions of magnet and flashlight. Because it is depends on audologist's decisions or rules. But let me tell you and something is sense and not sense about magnet thing. I learned any science magnet in college but one magnet of U with metal that I did not get to touch in college since one of different audologist told me not near to U metal magnet then later few more years later I did not remember about U with metal magnet and I just started picked up and touched U with metal magnet and did not realized then i contacted my currently own audologist and told her what happened. And also I was into many different types of science magnets that we play with in daycare. My audologist let me touch and play with any science magnets and U with metal magnet when I play with the children. But as long as it don't get to closer to head. But one thing if you sit down with the children but sometimes if that happens when children hug you and they have magnet thing hold in their hand and would go to you. But I been watched very closer when we been with magnet thing but you never know if children would go to you like if you hold the children or children hug you on the floor like around back or something that you never know when it happens. I told my audolgosit about it when that happened with one child was hold magnet in their hand while child want me to hold a child and child arm or hand with magnet almost got to my head but I put arm with magnet down from not try to get over to my head. But even if cochlear implant children want to play with any science magnets in school or daycare if school or daycare have any type of science magnets that what hearing nomral children are play with it. But even however sometimes children or adult with cochlear implant could not remember too many rules if not use that much as everyday or once in while or something. Even sometimes teachers or aides are too busy and not realize about something and sometimes they can not pay attention to cochlear implant child all day full day and they are busy with too many kids and too much kids to watch and everything to keep us busy. Children are all keep me really very busy. Sometimes I don't realize or remember and just get into something that we want to do something in daycare or something. Even sometimes I get into something at home that never realize or anything. But some of adults and children with cochlear implant could not remember too many rules or advoid something. Magnets never bother me before. I am more activities with anything and like to get into something whenever i want to anywhere everywhere. So that it is best for you to contact and ask your own audologist about magnets or something because audologists have different rules and decisions. Guest guest Posted June 6, 2006 Report Posted June 6, 2006 Hi Ruth and everyone, you mention me something and I need to tell you something about the store and Wal-Mart and they does have ball magnet with any pipes or connections magnets to play with and it is in package but depends on how many connects and magnets in package on different prices. I seen that before and i been into that ball magnet with pipes or connects. But the package or paper never said anything about warnings. So magnet thing is everywhere in the world now. I never worry about magnet or something. If the world keep building or creative any magnets thing and why cochlear implant center let them if even any world never say warning on packages before purschase for home like flashlight with shake with no batteries in or use in school or daycare. So it is good thing and sense to check any own audologists about question or something when time comes to you or when you start to realize something when time comes like I do sometimes when not do usual thing.
