At one point I thought that the ticking sounds might be caused by the head

coil not being perfectly plugged into the processor just so. After all this

time I have to say I have no idea why the ticking happens. I still get it every

once in a blue moon. It happened just yesterday morning and all I had to do

is turn my wheel down a little bit until it stopped and then move it back to

where I want it. After that I'm fine. If there was nothing that could stop

the ticking then I would try to get another processor.

Les,

The ticking does go away when I turn the dial down.

However, this map has way too little volume and I often need to use it at the

higher part of the dial. , also tells me that is where I should be using

it anyway.

but there is no ticking on my other program, which I am not using anymore at

all.

This may be the first time I heard ticking on this particular 3g, which might

be my third.

Just wanted to inquire as I have a mapping appointment next week.

Guess you are on vacation now. Enjoy.

Thanks,

,

I just reread you post. My ticking stops when I turn the dial down but I

believe returns all the time when I turn it back up. I will have to play with

it and see. I do not have it on yet this morning.

I do the same thing as when my sensitivity is high. It seems to depend

on what hearing enviornment I'm in and when I turn down the sensitivity, the

clicking stops and the quality of sound is not affected. In some ways, I think

the little clicking noise is telling me that I have the sensitivity up too high

for the conditions.
