Guest guest Posted September 2, 2005 Report Posted September 2, 2005 > Yes, he's dead. The fact that Minerva? (new dean) and Harry both see Dunbledore asleep in the picture is a trait unique to wizards. Other dead personages are in other pictures. Apparently one doesn't have to be dead to have a portrait in the Headmaster's Office. What got me wondering is this: Did Snape REALLY kill Dumbledore? No, cuz, he's not dead! )))) > All we know is that Dumbledore said " Please " a couple of times, The " Please " had to do with keeping Draco from killing him so that there was still hope for Draco. Snape is a good guy and when he and D had the argument earlier, it was ciz Snape didn't want to follow through on the promise to do this he's made D. He's " dead " so that he can continue fighting Voldemort and no one knows that he's doing it. HP can't do it alone, although the final battle will be a one-on-one. I think HP dies along with Voldemort in the next book because I think HP carries the last piece of V's soul and rather than take the chance that V will learn to control HP, H will choose to die in the battle with V. > And for that matter, what if that is not Dumbledore's portrait, > but a blank portrait within which the real alive Dumbledore is > hiding? Guest guest Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 1) So does anyone think Ginny and Harry are going to get back together? 2) Will he become an auror if he lives? 3) Will at the main characters make it through the story? 4) Will the Weasly twins bestow Harry with loads of cash due to good profits? 5) Why does Hermione persist in writing to Krum? Guest guest Posted July 22, 2007 Report Posted July 22, 2007 My daughter went last night with a friend to border's, spent the night at the friends and HID the book today! I just got her to relent and let me share it. Only at chapter 4 but so far so good. Kim > > I got the latest and (supposedly) last book. Has anyone else picked it > up? Guest guest Posted July 23, 2007 Report Posted July 23, 2007 " My Harry Potter book came in the mail and I read it yesterday. It was really good. i won't spoil the ending for you all. :-) " I'm taking it slow. I am around page 350 or therabouts. So far, everything I predicted with some of my friends (where the locket was) came true. Incidentally, I have not finished the book, so I do not know whether or not Dumbledore returns, but if he is really dead, then there is a serious plot flaw. We can discuss the story in detail after everyone has a bit more time to buy and read the book. For now, mum's the word. Tom Administrator Quote
