after surgery - wear HAs?

Howdy folks! This may seem like a dumb question to

the experts, but after the CI surgery, can you wear

HAs in the ears that got the implant? This is before

hookup.

No you can't. It would be of no help to you since your residual hearing is

probably destroyed forever but you will gain so much more that you will

forget very soon about it. Good luck with your next activation.

You can give it a try, just don't cause any irritation to the

surgery site that is trying to heal. There are people that report

retaining some residual hearing after the implant. It just depends

on the type of array and how the surgeon implants it.
