Guest guest Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 Hi , I am part of an implant support group, and we needed funding for CART (real time captioning) and didn't have it. So, someone suggested I contact a place where the TEACH court reporters, because the folks who are getting ready to graduate would appreciate the chance to practice. And they do it for FREE. So the price is right. We have a community college that includes court reporting as part of the para legal studies, so there's a start for you. I don't know of any computer programs that will do the same thing, but if you can find a willing warm body, go for it. I've spoken to the media department at our church about getting real-time captioning up for the deaf and hard of hearing. They are interested in finding out more about the options and I was wondering if this type of program could work for that. Or maybe someone has a better suggestion?
