Guest guest
Hi Alice -- So it has nothing to do with a telecoil which is sometimes called a t-switch in hearing aids? Guest guest
This is correct, Shera. It does not work the same way a telecoil or t-switch works. The Nucleus 3G has a telecoil. I don't know if Med-el has a telecoil on their BTE so perhaps someone on the list can answer that for me. Guest guest
Hi, Alice I have a T-mike and it is on my Advanced Bionics Clarion. It clips onto the BTE processor and the microphone sits near the opening of your ear so that it collects sound like your ear (before the CI, of course) I use it most of the time along with a hearing aid in my unimplanted ear and do extremly well on a one to one but have plenty of trouble in noise or where there is more than one conversation at the same time like in a restaurant. In a one to one conversation it is like i never lost my hearing especially if it is some one who voice I am familiar with and it gets better all the time! I have had my CI abou 5 months and need to get a reprogramming. I have moved from the Washington D.C. Area where I used s Hopkins. to Connecticut and have to find a center who can reprogram it. I am sure there is some here but could go down to NYC if I have to but it is quite a way and prefer one closer. Sincerely, Original Message: ----------------- From: A ADAMS justagram14@...
