Guest guest
Hi all, I was hoping someone will have some ideas about this subject matter, and any response will be appreciated. My son Dedric is 5 months old today and he will be seeing a Pediatric Orthopedist very soon for the first time. My son has torticollis(and we belong to torticolliskids), and I am also pretty sure he has a case of plagiocephaly as well. His right cheek is puffier than the left, forehead does protrude just slightly, right eye is slightly bigger than the left, flat spot on the right backside of head just behind the ear. The left backside of the head seems to be more rounded than it should be. I know you are all saying, " that is positional plagiocephaly " , and that is what I think it is to but lately I have become more concerned. Both left and right sides of the head above the ears more to the top of his head, there are rounds or mounds as the head flattens at the top. Kind of like when looking from the back his head, it is an upside-down triangle. I hope this is not tooo confusing to understand. Anyway I don't have a scanner yet or any pictures on disk, or pictures as they really don't show what I am talking about clearly enough. I was just hoping maybe someone else's child had what I have described and what was the diagnoses? I am worried that there may be more than just positional plagio, what do you think? Still waiting for the Pediatric Orthopedist appointment. Jodene and Dedric 5 months today!! in NH
