Thanks for your ideas about Ci explanation for Peyton. I guess I'm

not only one who has had this problem. Peyton is going to have

surgery at Childrens Hospital in Detroit. He has been there many

times before and loves the place. Best thing is CI team Dr. and audi

are also his regular Dr. and audi so he is very comfortable with

them. Now another question that I thought of since reading Pam's

post. Peyton loves his HA's. He gets mad at me when he can only wear

one (ear infections). He will be wearing his aid in unimplanted ear

after surgery but would it be possible for him to wear his other aid

(without battery) just for his peace of mind? I know this sounds

silly but was just a thought. He probably would take it right off

because he can tell when its broken. Or would swelling or ear mold

cause a problem? Also spoke with ENT about ossification. He has no

idea why it is there. said he maybe was born with it. He also is

confident that it wasn't caused by chronic ear infections because of

the location. Its in the middle turn of his cochlea.
