Guest guest
Actually I think even hearing people hear that. It's just a sound, not an interaction with the hearing aid. =o) My husband, (hearing), says that sometimes he hears buzzing when next to flourescent lights. ~*~Bree~*~ 24F , Oklahoma Implanted 3/1/2004, Activated 4/1/2004 Advanced Bionics HiRes/Auria ID - oinkydoodle http://groups.msn.com/BreesEnook/home.msnw > HELP!!!!!!!! > > I thought the CI is nothing like HA yet I got that familiar BUZZZZZZZZ while > standing under a fluorescent lamp last night..... this happened as I had it in > T switch, trying to make a phone call in noisy place. Guest guest
Lee, T coil is t coil. Cant change that. So move around til you get less buzz. You will find where you get the least buzzing. *---* *---* *---* *---* *---* If you think somethings bad, try it again and see. & Gimlet (Guide Dawggie) Portland, Oregon N24C 3G 8/2000 Hookup rlclark77@... http://home.comcast.net/~rlclark77/
Guest guest
Lee....I'm sorry because I read your original message again and I missed the part where you said you had it on telecoil originally. Yes.. you can get the buzz noize if you are under a flourescent light with the TCoil on. I normally used the TCoil only in a looped area and not for the phone because I didn't really need it. Have you tried this? Noisy situations are hard for anyone and this is the only occasion when I used the T Coil for the phone but not under flourescent lighting. As already said - if you are using it the best thing to do is to move away from the light. Please excuse my error. Alice
