Chocolate is like poison to dog (That I have read about this)

When I was a kid, I had a Great Dane. During Christmas time, Someone gave

us a wrap package for christmas... We left for a day and came home, Our

Great Dane rip open the box and ate the whole content.... 5 lbs of Chocolate

Candies. All gone. Thanksfully, our great dane was fine... He was licking

his jaws...

Same thing happened to our family German Shepard/Collie, and she was a

smaller dog than usual for those breeds. I believe the more concentrated the

chocolate is (e.g., dark) the more dangerous it is, and one never know the

effect the lesser concentrated chocolate may have on a dog.

We never give our dog any kind of Chocolate. But we do need to be careful

what people give you and don't know what the package is... It could have

been deadly to any dogs. 5 LBS of chocholate... whew... We were lucky
