About cell phones,

I just purchased a pay as you go cell phone. I only want to have it for

emergencies or very short conversations like, " Hi, I'm going to be later than

expected. " . At Best Buy, and Target, and I'm sure other places, you can

purchase a pay as you go phone plan from Virgin Mobile ( NO I did NOT make that

name

up! LOL). You buy phone cards at least every 90 days to the minimum amount

of $20 to keep the phone number. The phone I got with my package is an audivox

and I was shocked that the sound quality is excellent. Virgin Mobile | About

I hope this link works. If not, just copy and paste and it will bring you to

it eventually! LOL It is expensive to use - 25 cents for each of the first

10 minutes - EACH day - then 10 cent a minute. However - I had a plan for a

year and it was @ $40 a month. This gives me a " plan " for $20 every 3 months,

and I keep the phone # - so that is $80 a year, but no committment. So far in

the few months I have had it I have used it for a total of @ 5 minutes! LOL

None were emergencies, just calling home to say I was running late. Hope this

helps.

Jackie done good today! Thanks for that info on the cell phone.

I take it you were not able to try the phone first? $20 every three

months? Wow! Do the minutes accrue or do they roll off after each 90

day period? And how much was the phone?

(Gimlet feels much better knowing that Jackie has her pegged

correctly!)
