Guest guest
Hmm, is the BWP any better than the BTE? I was told it was no better, just different. ~*~Bree~*~ > Well..I guess we are all different because I have requested that my activation is done with the BWP in two weeks and I will have 4 different programs to try for two weeks before we activate my 3G on 4/28. I love the opportunity to try lots of different programs and have them to pick from. By 4/28, I'll have an idea what I like best. > > I remember last year when we did the activation. I had two 900 programs a 1200 program and an 1800 program. I was able to do different things with each program and to my delight, I could easily hear music on one and hear on the phone on two of the others. This is something I'm really looking forward to again. > > I know that many people dislike the idea of the BWP but if I had to pull a red wagon with a huge processor in it to hear, I would and with no problem. Hearing means that much to me.
Guest guest
For the Nucleus, the BWP is not exactly like the BTE. Since the BWP has 4 map slots and the BTE has 2 map slots, this gives you 6 possible choices to hear at any given time (if you get both processors). When the 3G came out, some poeple found that they liked it better while others found that they liked the BWP better. It's all a matter of what sounds good to you. The BWP is small and I used to wear mine in my bra! In a message dated 3/30/2004 8:57:28 PM Eastern Standard Time, oinkydoodle@... writes: Hmm, is the BWP any better than the BTE? Guest guest
Bree, we're all different, there's no right answer here..... But for me, the BTE is better, totally.......if I had a choice today, I'd get 2 BTE's. I had no choices back in 2001, the BWP was all there was. Then I got my BTE in fall of 2001. S. Guest guest
Alice, there are 2 sides to this. If a person knows that they will want a BTE, that this is going to be their processor of choice, I think they're better off to start right out on it, on day 1.......and get used to it from the very beginning. I say this because of my own personal experiences. I had a VERY hard time transitioning from the BWP to the BTE.....very very hard.....and in the end, the BTE was the answer for me. It was what I wanted/needed, and if I had started right out on it, I would not have wasted a year of my time with a difficult transition. I personally feel that the centers should have loaners for people who are just being activated so they can make more informed decisions. It just goes to prove how everyone is different.
