Gloria, True. I suppose we can sum it up to one word "choice" or maybe the word for some "attitude." We all have them and make them. For kids, it may be a different story, but most here I assume are adults. My sister surely is one, but drastic or extreme are words removed from her vocabulary or practice so she is choosing what works best for her. If she falls asleep at the wheel, I hope there is no one in her way. At that point I don't think she will be given a second chance but maybe no license, car or perhaps extreme case jail time. She's thinking she will never fall asleep at the wheel. I sure hope she is right for the sake of herself and others who may be innocently out on the road or even walking down the street. She refuses to listen so it's about her at this point and I am not one to harp away but let her be. Hugs, carolg.........back to my book as I am

against the clock to pay a fine or finish quickly.MorningGlory113@... wrote: She's alone--no husband--never had kids either. Yikes. Oh, Carol....now I know you don't feel sorry for her because she's all alone, no husband, never had kids. Hey...I don't even have brothers or sisters! You can either choose to make the best of it or become a victim. I know people who have very large families and I wouldn't change places with them for a minute. In fact some of them tell me that I'M the lucky one.A person, such as your sister, is probably not going to do something she would consider extreme. Change is hard for most people. She's used to not sleeping, but not used to eating or doing whatever Fuhrman would suggest. This is the way most

people are. Some of them will change to a point, but not drastically. To tell the truth, if someone told me I had to start eating meat or else, I can't say that I'd do it.Gloria

You have to just let her be, so that's smart. I've noticed that my attitude has also been changing lately. Last week 2 customers at work asked me how I stay so skinny. I told them "It's the way I eat, but most people would never eat like I do because it eliminates 99% of what they are used to eating". I don't even bother explaining further unless they ask for specifics...but even when they do ask more questions, they usually agree..."they could never eat like that." They always wish they could, but confess they probably never will.
