Guest guest Posted October 14, 2006 Report Share Posted October 14, 2006 When we were in Maui we took the Haleakala bike ride down the mountain and it went right through a eucalyptus forest. And you know what? It didn't even smell! I was so disappointed. I even picked up some leaves and crushed them, nothing. I had a eucalyptus tree in my backyard here in the Pacific Northwest. It grew so fast in one year it was quite gangly. I asked my naturopath, who is also a botanist what to do and he said cut it back. I did, it died.
