Hello All,

I'm into my second day after surgery and still doing well. Having

these occasional beeps and blurps and sirens every now and then out

of my implanted ear. Read instructions from the Dr and this is

normal. Is this the tinnitus everyone talks about taking place post-

op? Woke at 3 AM this morning and can't say I was in terrible pain,

but knew it was time for another dose of the good stuff. The pain

meds certainly help and sore throat has been the only major complaint

I have..at least hubby thinks so. LOL All in all, doing great so

far and have not had any disturbance with taste or tummy problems.

Have some swelling around my ear and a small dot on forehead where

the clamp was placed is discolored. Also bruising around back of the

ear which I'm sure everyone has experienced. I took a shower this

morning, washed my hair and went with hubby to pick up our dogs at

the vet. Poor angels...we missed them so much while being away for

the surgery. Glad I have them home now and know they are glad to be

home, too.

, , Flash, BunE, Alice, Dora....everyone...thanks for your

kind posts. I enjoy reading all your stories and what you've gone

through with surgery, hookup and general interests of what is on your

mind that day and what you share with the group.

Thanks again and best wishes to everyone and those who are awaiting

surgery and just looking into CI's now, waiting on hookup....good

luck to you all. To the ... ''oldies'' implanted...thanks for

sharing your stories with us. It's much appreciated.

Dixie
