Guest guest
The other day my husband and I were working on the yard. It's always been a pain for us communication wise since he'd have to stop what he's doing and walk over to speak with me. As he was on one side of the yard pulling weeds, he called out for me to get the rake. I was 50 feet away with my back to him-picked up the rake and took it to him. As I handed the rake to him, he jumps up and gives me this huge hug saying, " Yard work is so much easier with your CI! " I was touched! Guest guest
--- Hi I agreed with you that I can hear from far away and can understand my husband whatever he need something. It is so much easier with my CI, that he never repeat anymore. Not even look at him in the car while I'm driving. Guest guest
Thanks Joni. It was a nice experience for me also. So far it hasn't been repeated, but there is more time yet I go down state to try the SPEAK next month. Hopefully it will get rid of the whiny voices I am getting now. I have also noticed the last couple of days that the 'echo' is back so hopefully the audi can get rid of that again. Doesn't make listening to people very easy. susan & hobbes michigan At 08:00 PM 7/20/2004 -0400, you wrote: >susan > >that is soo cool when you can talk to someone farther away! i know exactly >what you mean. i have always had to readlips and use hearing aid and that >meant people had to be pretty close to me so i could see thier face as they >talked. i could never have a conversation with anyone farther than two >feet away. >its just blew me away when i could understand everything someone said and >they were not real close! that is really a very new expereince, >something that would never happen with a hearing aid. it only gets better. >a neat ci experience, thanks for sharing, > >joni >preling >ps. i hope SPEAK works for you. sounds like some people do better with >that than ACE .
