Guest guest
"Could you possibly be refering to Packers and the Vikings?" NO way ! I'm talking COLLEGE ball. Washington State Cougars (YEA!!! They beat USC last night!) and the University of Washington Huskies (They LOST to ASU last night!!). It's called the Apple Cup and one year it's played in Seattle at Huskie Stadium and one year in Pullman (356 miles east of Seattle) at Stadium. HUGE rivalry, like most of them are. This year the the cross country team from UW will run the ball half way across the state to pass it off to the WSU cross country team. The mayors of the cities even get in on it. They bet with each other - Seattle mayor has to put up smoked salmon and Pullman mayor puts up Cougar Gold cheese. WSU has a veterinary school and a creamry on campus. (Best ice cream I ever tasted!!) Can you tell I went to WSU? We are a home divided on that weekend. My husband is a Husky fan. So, on November 18th half the house will be dressed in purple and gold and my half will be in crimson and silver. It really is a lot of fun.
